Supervisor of Project Cost Accounting



  • Lead a team of 3-4 project controls associates and day-to-day operations of job cost accounting
  • Update and maintain job cost system
  • Conduct job cost reviews, assist project managers with profitability projections, cost and productivity analysis, back charges, general project controls, and customer project audits
  • Occasional project and cost analysis: e.g., analysis of construction cost divisions across all jobs
  • Raise awareness to potential job-related issues, propose solutions, and promote implementation
  • Provide data driven conclusions to team members and management
  • Understand how project contract terms relate to job cost
  • Manage daily and weekly quantity reporting
  • Oversight of equipment charges into cost system
  • Prepare monthly job-related financial analysis reports


  • Team leadership and talent development
  • Job cost experience and extensive general construction knowledge
  • Analytical, self-motivated and the ability to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Advanced computer skills, including Excel
  • Unifier experience or similar job cost system(s)
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • General knowledge of sales and use tax laws


  • 5+ years construction accounting and job cost experience
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
