OPENING: Accounting Assistant


CCG Automation is  looking for an  Accounting Assistant  to  perform  daily  accounting tasks  that  will  support our team.  Accounting  Assistant  responsibilities  include  providing  administrative  support by performing  various  clerical  tasks,  such  as filing, mail  handling,  making  bank  deposits, handling invoices, tracking expenses for specific projects, and bookkeeping. Other typical duties include preparing financial records, office administration, and processing payroll. This position requires attention to detail, reliability, and excellent communication skills. Roles and Responsibilities
Provide accounting and clerical support to the relevant departments.

Accounts Payable
Process accounts payable invoices, including tracking material receipts.
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Distribute signed checks as required.
Answer all vendor inquiries and reconciles vendor statements.
Maintain all accounts payable reports and files.
Reconcile monthly credit card statement.

Accounts Receivable
Apply customer payments to outstanding invoices.
Prepare deposits as needed.
Research and solves payment discrepancies.
Monthly collection calls.
Create and send invoices  for maintenance  contracts  and  for  daily  service  performed.

Accounting and Administration Support
Assist with reconciling weekly payroll hours.
Assist in monthly closings.
Assists in researching problems with job costs.
Answer phones as needed.
Provide documentation of service performed to customers on a weekly basis.
Set up service contracts and track hours against customer contracted hours.

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit;use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs;  balance;  stoop,  kneel,  crouch  or  crawl;  talk  or  hear;  and  taste  or  smell.  The  employee must  occasionally  lift  or  move  up  to  20  pounds.  Specific  vision  abilities  required  by  the  job include  close  vision,  distance  vision,  color  vision,  peripheral  vision,  depth  perception  and  the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position will have occasionally overtime requirements.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
AAS in Accounting
Two to three years’ previous experience.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software
Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Ability to pass drug screening.
Ability to pass formal background check, both BCI (Ohio) and FBI.
Ability to prove U.S. Employment eligibility.
Will be required to complete a personality profile.
