Responsibilities• Manages small projects or supports portions of other managers projects at a task level (IE operations projects, security/door hardware, power/data install, etc.).
• Coordinates and communicates project phases including project schedule, phasing plans, utility interruptions, and Hospital communications. Ensures all phases and project work are completed in accordance with all NCH processes, contract documents, and applicable regulations.
• Possesses general knowledge about building systems such as HVAC, Fire Alarm, Building Automation, Life Safety, Electrical distribution, and Medical Gas systems. Researches utility systems and plans utility outages. Processes submittals, RFI’s, and forms related to life safety and infection control for installation.
• Works with Project Manager counterpart to solicit, analyze, and award bid contracts. Negotiates, administers, and terminates contracts as necessary.
• Oversees change management, controlling the review & implementation of change orders, field orders, bulletins, memos, drawings, and general correspondence for accuracy and scope.
• Prepares and executes final punch list and project closeout. Arranges for the receipt of operating manuals, warranties, guarantees and acceptance of work, subcontract and vendor closeout, final payment, and records retention. Integrates into Archives.
• Assures compliance with hospital policies related to or impacted by construction activities. Performs inspections to assure code compliance and quality control using project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes. Manages and ensures successful sign off on City/State inspections for all phases of construction.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, MEP/LV Engineering, Interior Design, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, and written.
• Ability to organize and effectively multitask.
• Ability to effectively use Office and Construction software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, CAD, Revit, Adobe, Microsoft Project, Plan Grid, Procore, etc.).
• Knowledge of building construction contracting, design & documentation, estimating, construction costs and scheduling.
• Understanding of engineering principles and techniques of various building systems.

Experience:
• Minimum three years’ experience in construction and/or design project management preferred.
• Experience in facility operations and maintenance is a plus. The ideal candidate should be able to complete small projects autonomously while assisting with larger scale projects as appropriate.
