Exterior Products Sales Manager


Job Title: Territory Manager Wall & Exterior Products:  Central Ohio

Position Reports to:  Aaron Spencer, Exterior Division Manager

Job Location:  Columbus/Central Ohio

Job Purpose Summary:          
To successfully procure sales orders and increase market share through the generation and management of job leads in partnership with customers and distribution and effectively drive new business opportunities via specification work with architects, consultants and owners. 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers, owners, architects and consultants physically on daily basis.

  • Scheduling appointments and meeting existing customers in order to review orders, potential leads, product requirements, and to determine other opportunities.

  • Generating and developing new business accounts with owners, architects and consultants in order to increase revenue and grow market share through specification work.

  • Designing professional demonstrations or presentations of company products or services while on-site.

  • Liaising between the company, manufacturers, distributors and the customers for timely responses on job quotes, pricing, order status, service issues and latest product release launches.

  • Providing job quotes to customers as needed.

  • Continuously updating all customers and distribution partners on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.

  • Organizing joint sale calls and attending them with manufacturers.

  • Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining expense accounts.

  • Performing, updating and maintenance of accounts of customer including sales forecasts and job tracking on Salesforce.

  • Ensuring follow-up after passing leads to managers with complete profile customer information, calls-to-action, sources, dates.

  • Effectively attending conferences and trade shows.

  • Enhancing up to date knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools by attending sales and training meetings.

  • Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.

  • Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.

Central Ohio (Columbus)

  • Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information.

  • Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills.

  • Special people skills to deal with customers.

  • Able to prospect new accounts.

  • Able to upgrade and deal with major businesses.

  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Very good team player and should work well under pressure.

  • Able to foster the customer relation values.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Salesforce.

  • Proven forecasting and customer service skills.

Education and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales or marketing related field from an accredited institution.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.

  • Degree in any field of sales and marketing.

  • Three-years sales and/or marketing experiences.

  • Any combination of the above qualifications.
