Mobile Device Technician

LOCATION:  Rudolph Libbe Group Walbridge Offices

JOB DESCRIPTION         
We are in search of an individual with an understanding of mobile devices.  This individual will understand the differences between Android and IOS operating system and how to support both as well as subsequent versions.  An understanding of the configuration of cell phones, tablets, and connectivity devices such as MiFi’s and cradle points is required.    

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES         

  • Our mobile device technician will keep our associates connected by engaging with them to explore device issues and repairing mobile
  • devices
  • Responsible for creating workflows, developing new technologies, and testing out new hardware/software before releasing to production environments
  • Serving as a technical support resource
  • Deploy devices and provide training on usage of mobile devices
  • Acquire and configure devices for deployment
  • Acquire, maintain, and inventory accessories for mobile devices
  • Trouble shoot device, connectivity, and application issues
  • Deploy, remove, and update applications on mobile devices
  • Manage MDM environment
  • Meet or exceed key performance objectives, including service and repair metrics
  • Create documentation on mobile device related procedures and workflows
  • Create and maintain reports related to mobile devices
  • Life Cycle Management of mobile devices
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

SKILLS

  • Demonstrated customer relationship and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of mobile devices and operating systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work projects independently and within a team
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and respond quickly to requests of associates
  • High level of problem-solving skills

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE  

  • 1 year of experience with product service support or troubleshooting electronics
  • 1 year of face-to-face customer service experience
  • 1 year experience troubleshooting and repairing mobile devices
  • A minimum of a high school degree is required.
